How to care for your Period Swimwear
To get the most out of your Snapper Rock period swimwear, we recommend:
Wash before first use to activate absorbency. Machine wash on a gentle, cold cycle with similar colors. Avoid fabric softeners and bleach as they can affect absorbency and damage the fabric. Use a mild or natural detergent for best results. Air dry only, avoid tumble drying. Lay flat or hang to dry in a shaded, well ventilated area. Replace after 30 washes for best performance.

Can I swim on my period without using a tampon or pad?
Yes -for light flow days.
Our period swimwear is designed to be worn on its own for light flow, with built-in protection to keep you covered in and out of the water.
How much can Snapper Rock period swimwear absorb?
Our swimwear is designed for light flow and can absorb up to the equivalent of 2–3 regular tampons, that’s about 20ml.
That means you can enjoy the water without stressing- just choose the right day in your cycle for your flow.
Will Snapper Rock swimwear feel heavy or bulky when wet?

We use Zorb® LITE, which is designed to be thin, lightweight, and low-bulk, so it still feels like a normal bikini.
Even when wet, it won’t feel heavy or saggy- just comfortable and easy to wear.

Our teen period swimwear is available in youth sizes 10–16.
Black bottoms are sold separately, while Dottie Days Triangle, Watermelon Triangle, and Marine Crop are sold as sets.

Should I try my period swimwear before wearing it out?
If it’s your first time, a quick try at home can help build confidence.
Wear it in the shower or bath to check the fit feels secure and comfortable—so your first swim feels easy and stress-free.

What is your returns policy for period swimwear?
For hygiene reasons, period swimwear can only be returned if it is unworn, unwashed, with tags and hygiene liner still attached.

Returns can be submitted within 30 days of delivery through our returns portal. A $6 handling fee is deducted from refunds (exchanges are free).
We recommend trying on for fit first (with underwear) before use to make sure you feel confident before your first swim.
How do I store my wet period swimwear?
Easy - just give your swimwear a quick rinse in cold water, then pop it into our Dottie Days waterproof wet bag.
It has waterproof lining and zip-up, so you can store and carry your wet swimwear. Cute, reusable, and super handy for beach days, sleepovers, or after swim practice. Just rinse out your wet bag after use.
