Waterproof Raincoat FAQs

What are the differences between the lined and unlined raincoats?

Lined Raincoats: These raincoats, like the Sun Cloud Recycled Waterproof Raincoat, feature a cozy micro-fleece lining, providing extra warmth and comfort. They are ideal for colder, rainy days when additional insulation is needed. The shell is made of 100% recycled polyester backed with an outer layer of 100% PU.

Unlined Raincoats: The unlined versions, such as the Cornflower Polka Dot raincoat, are perfect for in-between days or milder weather. They offer the same waterproof and windproof protection with a 100% recycled polyester outer shell but without the added warmth of a lining. This makes them versatile for layering, depending on the weather.

What are Snapper Rock Adventurewear raincoats made from?

Lined Raincoats: For raincoats like the Sun Cloud Recycled Waterproof Raincoat, the shell fabric consists of an outer layer of 100% PU and a backing of 100% recycled polyester. The recycled polyester is made from PET bottles saved from landfill—each raincoat requires an average of 14 bottles to make. The lining is 100% polyester, providing added warmth and comfort.

Unlined Raincoats: For raincoats like the Cornflower Polka Dot, the shell fabric also features an outer layer of 100% PU with a backing of 100% recycled polyester, made from PET bottles saved from landfill. Like the lined versions, these raincoats require an average of 14 bottles per coat, but they do not have a lining, making them perfect for in-between days or for layering with other clothing.
